Recently I purchased an intense fancy yellow radiant cut ring from TheDiamond.com for my wife’s “special” birthday. I began researching canary diamonds in late 2007. After learning as much as I could, I established several mandatory requirements for my purchase. One day I found your web site and called Michael. My boyfriend has agreed to let me purchase my own diamond for my
engagement ring. After searching, contemplating, and then watching
several yellow diamonds that I had chosen become purchased on
thediamond.com, I finally found one that I wanted to be mine (this
took 3 years). I read all of the other testimonials and decided that
this was going to be a safe purchase. I placed my order for a 1.16
carat oval cut yellow diamond on Wednesday night and it was delivered
to my house in Alabama on Saturday. The diamond was packaged in 3
boxes and judging by the outside, no one could tell what was inside.

Working with Michael and Sara on the purchase of a diamond and ring setting was a wonderful and rewarding experience. This journey began not on the internet but at the jewelry store at the local mall, then to the stand alone locally owned jewelry store and finally to the big name jewelry stores who sell at wholesale prices. I walked away from these stores thinking there had to be a better way. In every case the engagement ring I was looking at was expensive and of moderate quality. I believe most my money was going into a fancy expensive setting and not a quality diamond. I did my homework on diamonds and every time I raised a question on the quality of the diamond I was given a standard response that it really did not matter as long as the diamond had a lot of sparkle and brilliance (one jeweler tried to sell me a 1.36 carat M color diamond for $15,000). Will, in a jewelry store all diamonds look better than they really are because of the lighting, and no one could explain to me why I should blow off the certification standards that the diamond industry itself set up to ensure that the consumer understood the quality of the diamond he or she was purchasing. But this is what I experienced at the local stores. This made me start thinking about alternative sources for purchasing my diamond for my bride to be. I wanted to get the largest, best quality diamond I could for a great price. So I turned to the internet and began searching for fancy yellow diamonds. In my search I came across several online sellers of diamonds and I contacted several online providers. In general, I was pleased with what I was finding but one sight stood out among all the rest, thediamond.com. The thediamond.com sight was easy to use and provided detailed information on each diamond it its inventory, including still and video pictures, as well as a scan of the diamond’s GIA certificate. I also liked the fact theDiamond.com took credit cards which made making my purchase much simpler than having to do a wire transfer. It was worth it to me to pay 2 to 3 percent more for using my credit card on my purchase for the convenience and protection. Thediamond.com also provided me the opportunity to return the diamond within 30 days if not completely satisfied. I found a beautiful 2.20 carat, internally flawless, asscher cut, fancy yellow diamond for $18,705, a bargain compared to what I had seen elsewhere. I placed my order on-line, paying with my credit card and expected the diamond to show up in a few days via FedEx. I was wrong. Michael called me to confirm my purchase. He discussed with me that he would get the diamond and inspect it before sending it to me and if there was a problem he would let me know. He discussed other possible diamonds that might meet my desires. Later that day Michael called me back and informed me that the diamond I selected look stunning and he would be sending it out. Michael was not just interested in making a sale but making the right sale, one that would please me. I received the diamond the next day and could not have been happier. It was more than stunning. I spent the next several weeks looking for the perfect setting for my perfect diamond again returning to several jewelry stores in the Washington DC area. Again I was stunned by the prices. I was also questioning if I should return the diamond to Michael and get something less expensive. Since I had a trip planned to New York I called Michael and asked if I could come by their office and look at other diamonds and possibly make an exchange. Michael was more than happy to grant my request. The following week I visited their office in downtown Manhattan and Michael showed me seven more diamonds that were less expensive than the diamond I originally purchased. After looking at these other diamonds I realized my original purchase was the right purchase for me. Last, Michael and Sara helped me bring to life my own ring setting design. They shared their expertise, artistic skills and knowledge of diamonds to help me create the engagement ring setting that was absolutely beautiful and fit for the woman of my dreams. I want to thank Michael and Sara for all the care and attention they provided me. It was one year ago
today that I opened my ringbox and looked at my engagement
ring. Its yellow diamond center stone nestled between its
trillions (that does sound and look rich!) just sparkled
in the sunlight as it shone through the windows of my
sister's home in northern MI. No quiet pride here, I've
lost count of the number of raised eyebrows & dropped jaws

I have worked several years in the fine jewelry business and therefore was initially very skeptical about ordering a diamond online. I happened upon thediamond.com a couple years ago after I became interested in Fancy Yellow diamonds and thought it was a great source. Fast forward to the present and I was finally ready to upgrade to a yellow diamond. I was about to purchase it through a local jewelry store though, when I remembered Michael's site and decided to check it out again. I found a fancy yellow Radiant that I really liked online and when I emailed the company about it, Michael personally responded. He was very honest about the one I was interested in and told me about another diamond (that was a little less expensive actually) that was much more attractive. That right there showed me that I could do business with him. I was never a pushy or dishonest sales person when I was in the industry and I like that quality in who I am working with as well. I ended up purchasing the diamond Michael suggested (which was approx. 2 ctw) and he was dead on about it. It faced up larger than the true carat weight and had excellent sparkle and color which are two really important qualities to me. The fact that I had previous experience and knowledge in diamonds makes me a picky customer, but Michael knew what I was looking for and provided it. He and his staff (Sara) were prompt, answered all my questions/concerns, and were professional and polite. It was a great experience and I can't wait to work with thediamond again (maybe another upgrade...even though this diamond is fantastic). This may be a tad lengthy testimonial, but if you’re about to spend a great deal of money on a canary diamond, then you’ll want to read its’ entirety. I have aspired to a canary diamond my entire life, as first viewed one on the hand of an elegant bride to be on her cherished day, where I was in attendance as the “flower girl”, and knew instantly the preference for the canary over the traditional white (and that’s even my birthstone). When I was married 8 years ago, we purchased a yellow diamond (not to be confused with a canary). Recently however, two of the prongs gave way and my stone was lost. Since the ring itself held such sentimental value, I went to my local jeweler and he honestly admitted he knew nothing regarding canary diamonds, so I went online and there I met Michael…..the hands-on owner for TheDiamond.com I read and studied all the information on the site, but then had just a couple of questions of my own. Michael always responded professionally, courteously and in swift time. Of course, much of this is the price mark-up they are famous for....(I had expressed an interest in canary yellow diamonds in the past, and he wanted to do something very special for me at Christmas. He decided to upgrade my original wedding set. I have to admit this took some time for me to agree to, as I am quite sentimental!) We had seen your web-site some time ago, so many
phones calls were made to you Michael. Each time you were
there, answering our questions personally, giving honest advice and

We have to say, your honesty and integrity is what
really gave us piece of mind when it came to ordering jewelery off
the web.....Canary diamonds are rare and can be pricey (much more so than
white diamonds). This kind of purchase leaves one a bit nervous,
especially buying sight unseen.......In fact, there was
another canary diamond on your web site that we thought might have
"better" color than the first ring we had chosen, based on its color-scale
description (light vs. intense)...Michael you were very honest (even
though it meant we would be spending LESS) and told us that the original
ring we picked out had just as much color and fire if not more
than the other more "intense" colored ring.
When the first ring arrived, I was in awe....A 1.10
carat fancy yellow, cushion cut, (looks MUCH larger) set in platinum
and flanked by two D color trillion-cut white diamonds (0.80 tw)......I
cannot believe how beautiful this ring is....The yellow color is just
stunning, with much fire and brilliance. My original wedding set is
about half this carat weight, so talk about getting used to
"bling"!
So, I love the ring when it arrives and
immediately start wearing it....My husband loved it also......However,
since this ring was replacing my original wedding ring set, he felt
we needed to complete the look with a platinum-set canary and white
diamond "eternity" band. Who was I to argue with this? ANOTHER
canary diamond ring! I am a very lucky wife!
My husband proceeded to order me the
band (0.70 tw) which consists of four round-cut fancy canary yellow
diamonds, and three D-color baguette white diamonds. You were able
rush ship it out to him the day before Christmas Eve.
The color (yellow) is magnificent on both rings.....I
find myself looking at wedding sets (on the hands of other ladies and in
the stores).....I have yet to see a canary diamond wedding set like
mine.... This makes me feel so special and truly unique!
EVERYDAY, I look at my new wedding rings, and am reminded how much thought
and time my husband put into finding me the perfect rings to reflect
his love and devotion to me, after almost 12 years of marriage.....One
that would stand out from all others and make me feel like that
special woman all over again.

Having recently come into a small inheritance, I decided to indulge myself with something I have always wanted..........an Emerald cut diamond. My fianc? and I were looking for something different than the traditional colorless diamond. We found the Scheiner website and couldn't believe our eyes. A canary diamond was the perfect answer to our "traditional with a twist" desires. Our first order was not quite yellow enough for us, so we spoke to Michael personally about a few other stones and took his recommendations. The second stone was fabulous - VVS1 clarity, intense yellow, and a beautifully sparkling radiant cut. We had it mounted in a Simon G. setting with pink and white diamonds and made sure we had the head changed to yellow gold (as per Scehiner's recommendations). It is a stunner!!! months ago, I was shopping locally and on the internet for a relatively
unique and rare item, an internally flawless fancy yellow diamond for a
special anniversary ring for my wife. The local jewelers were frankly a
joke with limited and poor quality of merchandises and as usual asking for

I have had two excellent experiences in the last few months buying Canary diamonds from Scheiner Diamonds. Of course the quality of the items has been wonderful but the most impressive aspect was the care and personal service provided by Michael Scheiner. The first purchase was a 1.55 carat Fancy Yellow radiant cut diamond ring. When the first diamond I had picked out online was already sold, Michael sent me photographs and GIA certificates for two other stones in the same range. He called me and I was able to look at the photos and certificates to make a selection that was actually better than my original choice. He was clearly interested in satisfying my interests and provided alternatives that were right on target. I was kept informed of the progress of setting my ring by email and received a phone call on the night the ring was shipped to alert me as to the time the package would arrive the next morning. The ring is absolutely beautiful with the D color side diamonds highlighting the yellow of the center stone. The second purchase was a 1.71 carat total weight pair of Fancy Yellow radiant cut earrings. I had selected two stones from the online inventory that I thought might make a pair of earrings, just judging from the information on the certificate. I emailed Michael to see if he thought those two earrings could be a pair in terms of appearance since I couldn't judge the color match without seeing them. He responded that the two I had selected weren't a good match for earrings, but he sent photos and GIA certificates for another pair in my price range that was better than my original selection. The personal service was there again when he called to confirm the type of setting I wanted and then called when the shipment was made. The earrings were a perfect match for my ring and I am extremely satisfied. Did I mention that my local jewelry store had similar earrings but only 1 carat tw with NO GIA certificates for about the same price? For 70% larger stones WITH certificates, what's to decide? I personally would never buy a diamond of any significance that wasn't certified, nor would I pay "jewelry store" prices for stones of uncertain quality. I will absolutely buy from Scheiner Diamonds again in the future if I have another need! This is clearly a company that cares about the quality of their product and the satisfaction of the customer. This past Christmas of 2005 I stumbled upon the Scheiner Diamonds website while looking for a canary diamond ring. Searching the Web for such a stone was not something I would do as a rule; but in my area finding a Canary diamond in any local jewelers is akin to finding a million dollars waiting in your mailbox. Just ain't gonna happen! I was blown away by
what I found.........both in looks and in prices! I could not believe the
prices! I took a look at the Canary diamond bands and found just what I
wanted........an 18kt yellow gold band set with breathtaking canary

I was delighted with
the band when it arrived. It was even more beautiful in person. In fact, I

husband (!!!!!!!!) I called Michael and we discussed what could be
designed. I searched the site for the center clear diamond I liked and
found a lovely princess cut stone of just over .37 karats that was
perfect. It was F in color and VS1 in clarity and the price was WOW! So
back to Michael and final planning and in a short period of time my
matching ring arrived. I was in shock! To truly appreciate the center
stone one really has to see it. The Canary diamonds set around the band
were brilliant and matched my band exactly. I have to mention that I was
impressed with the quality of the setting in both rings. Heavy in
gold........no skimping. The band in nice and thick all the way around. I
know a quality setting when I see it and it was all there in both
rings.
I am now awash in
Canary "bling" and bliss thanks to Scheiner Diamonds and Michaels expert
help! I would encourage anyone reading this not to hesitate to do business
